Privacy Policy

What we collect, why, and what we do with it.

Last updated: August 2026

Who This Applies To

This policy covers Swing Terminal, operated by Anthony Calderone as an individual. It applies to anyone who creates an account or otherwise uses the service.

What We Collect

When you create an account, we collect your username, email address, and a securely hashed version of your password — we never store your actual password in readable form. If you subscribe, Stripe (our payment processor) handles your payment details directly; we never see or store your full card number. We keep a record of your Stripe customer and subscription IDs so we can check your subscription status.

We also track basic usage data tied to your account — when you're active in the dashboard and roughly how long, so we can understand engagement and improve the product. We do not track your activity outside of this service.

How We Use It

Your information is used to: provide and maintain your account, process billing through Stripe, send you transactional emails (signup confirmation, password reset, subscription notices), and understand how the service is actually being used so we can improve it. We do not sell your data to third parties, and we do not use it for advertising.

Who We Share It With

Stripe processes payments and holds your billing information under its own privacy policy. Google (Gmail) is used to send transactional emails from our account. Beyond these two service providers, we do not share your personal information with anyone else, except where required by law.

Data Security

Passwords are hashed (never stored in plain, readable form). Access to the underlying account database is restricted to the service operator. No online system is perfectly secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable, standard precautions.

Data Retention & Deletion

We keep your account data for as long as your account exists. If you'd like your account and associated data deleted, contact us through our support form and we'll process the request, subject to any records we're legally required to retain (e.g., billing records for tax purposes).

Cookies

We use a session cookie to keep you logged in, and a separate cookie to track anonymous free-trial usage (so the trial can't simply be reset by clearing cookies). Both are necessary for the service to function and aren't used for advertising or cross-site tracking.

If you accept analytics cookies via the banner shown on your first visit, we also use Microsoft Clarity to record de-identified session replays — mouse movement, clicks, and scrolling — so we can understand how the site is actually being used and improve it. You can decline this at any time from that banner; declining doesn't affect your ability to use the service.

Children's Privacy

This service is not intended for anyone under 18. We don't knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
